If you are not familiar with Rodolfo Young, then find the time to research the work he has done. A recognized international leader in the realm of consciousness, Rodolfo has shared the stage with great authors like Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson. He is a healer and a renowned teacher. In speaking about the Art of holding space, he begins by describing it as the ‘place deep within us that when we listen, not just with our ears but with our hearts-we start to feel that AUTHENTIC core.’ The authentic core is that place where we all connect as one, we are all the same as one another, we are complete, we are pure.
I want to touch on this topic of holding space because connection is very dear to my heart. In a world where humankind is losing its innate ability to communicate with one another, it is being replaced with gadgets and devices and technological reminders. The result is loneliness, despair and confusion. The importance of holding space is core to our very existence and our understanding of who we are. Connection is the only thing that remains, the only permanent thing is-as Rodolfo puts it-the ‘significance of life’. Objects, people, places etc… may change but the connection we had always remains. We leave an imprint on the places we visit, the things we do and the people we meet. The players may change but the energy remains the same. That is called Holding Space.
So, how do you Hold Space then?
The importance of connectedness comes in the art of being present. As in being in the PRESENT state, not in your past and nor in your future. Being present is-in all totality-being here, right HERE, right NOW with every aspect of your being. If we are not actually here, we quite simply cannot connect. If you are in the past, you are too caught up with what was to enjoy what is. And if you are focused more on the future, then you will miss the beauty of what today brings. Be in the moment. And, more importantly, take out the expectations from your mind and focus on this very moment to be able to experience and share the beauty of this present state.
Once you are able to see past the Masks that we wear and the Stories that we tell, the way that we present ourselves according to our pre-existing beliefs and and the rules that we have set for ourselves-only then are you able to find your Space.

“Our first encounter was quite brief, a single breath inhaled. Like this angel came to me and changed my entire world. In fact, as I reflect it dawned on me that I have had countless encounters with grateful beings. I realized that I had been surrounded all my life by similar bright whites. These angels simply asking that we trust, that we hear, that we let our hearts shout forth beyond all our fears. These, like a million raindrops, falling into a pond and in the moment of first contact, an expression ripples out. This is connection flowing forth across a million angels hands”-Rodolfo Young
So, think of these things: think of your bright whites and be grateful for the encounters you are having right now with the angels .
